For 30 years, photo l.a. has celebrated and brought together the photography + arts community. It is with this mission that we present a biannual photography competition and in-person portfolio reviews to help provide emerging and mid-career artists / photographers opportunities to broaden their career prospects and promote their winning work on a platform within the photo l.a. network. Through our long-established partnerships with world-renowned fine art photography galleries, art fairs, museums, and publications, winners of past competitions have been discovered and picked up by international galleries, institutions, and magazines, expanding their fine art career in the process.
